The project involved the supply and installation of structural steel for three buildings as part of the new Greater Shepparton College.

This project involved tight timeframes and coordination with the client and other subcontractors.

CPE Construction was able to deliver a high quality product on time which contributed to the overwhelming success of this project.

The project included the engineering design, shop drawings, structural steel, and cladding installation of two new warehouses.

This project was locally based in Cobram and CPE Construction was happy to provide two new quality warehouses for another local business.

It was a great opportunity to be able to help the expansion of NVE.

Project Scope: The project involved the shop drawings, structural steel and cladding of a new 3,750m2 warehouse for Foott.

CPE Construction has had significant experience in successfully delivery warehouses of this nature, and it was no different on this project.

This was another project being delivered in difficult market conditions following the Covid-19 pandemic, and CPE was able to quickly and efficiently complete this project for a valued customer.

Project Scope: 

The project was a significant undertaking for CPE Construction and largest project to date.

The project included the structural steel supply and installation of two lift shafts, platform stairs, station buildings, overpass, platform steel, metal works and various other miscellaneous packages.

With installation being completed during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was a remarkable effort to coordinate this work and deliver the project given CPE Construction’s base in regional Victoria.

CPE Construction were able to assist the client with numerous on site challenges, leveraging our Project Management expertise and steel installation capability to deliver a positive outcome for the client.

Project Scope: 

The project included the structural steel and cladding of the platform canopies and stairs at Bunyip, Longwarry and Morwell stations.

With the project based in Gippsland, it proved a logistical challenge to complete this job, especially due to the frequency of wet weather days throughout the installation works.

Another major obstacle on this project was the frequency of trains during the installation, this meant only small windows of time were allowed to install the platform canopies.

Despite all of the challenges on this project, CPE Construction was able to deliver a quality product.

Project Scope: 

The project involved all of the companies within the CG&C Group.

GMCE completed the engineering and design with Connex completing the shop drawings.

Due to the extremely tight timeframes on the project, the group’s accelerated design process was used (completing shop drawings at the same time as the engineering and design).

CPE completed the earthworks and the footings on site whilst the CPE workshop fabricated the structural steel.

CGC Site Services installed all the steel and precast panels within 3 days allowing CPE’s subcontractors to complete the cladding, concrete slab and the painting.

The whole project was completed within one month, and was a great example of the CG&C Group collaborating to achieve a great result for the client.

Project Scope: 

CG&C Group businesses GMCE, Connex, CPE Construction, and Concept Rigging were engaged to complete the structural steel and platform cladding packages,

The total value of work completed was $10.8m and included 575t of steel,

Connex completed the shop drawings, whilst CPE Construction completed the steel fabrication whilst GMCE completed temporary works engineering to assist Concept Rigging during the installation,

This job was the group’s largest project to date in terms of value and steel tonnage,

It proved to be a significant undertaking in terms of shop drawings, procurement, fabrication, and installation,

The integration of the Tekla software (Tekla Structures at Connex and Tekla Powerfab) at CPE Construction, enabled the group to efficiently model, detail and procure the job in multiple phases,

During the fabrication, Connex was able to use 3D Point Cloud Scanning technology to scan the feature stair elements and overlay them to the model,

This verified that the fabrication was correct except for a handful of minor fabrication errors that were rectified prior to delivery,

This proved to be a successful outcome with all steel being installed on site without issue or the need for pre-assembly,

CPE Construction used this project to gain CC2 Certification from Steelwork Compliance Australia.
